Ice FishingThe popular sport of ice fishing draws many people to Indian River. Anglers spend countless hours on the ice or if they are fortunate enough, in a shanty waiting to catch a tasty meal or perhaps that trophy wall hanger. Winter fishing offers a wide variety of species from smelt to sturgeon and everything in between with perch and walleye being the most sought after species. Be sure to have your license and know what seasons are open; information can be found on the DNR website where you can also purchase your license online.
