Miles of scenic rivers ranging from the slow moving Pigeon River to the fast water Sturgeon will provide just what you are looking for. The calm waters of the Pigeon flow through the Pigeon River Forest and "elk country" finally ending at Mullett Lake. The Sturgeon River with a decent of nearly 14 feet per mile is a Class I-II fast water, the most challenging in the Lower Peninsula.
